Google is showing the website for some searches much more often than before, but ranks it beyond page two, where almost nobody clicks. A page written for those searches could catch the demand while it grows.
What it suggests
Interest in these searches is growing and Google already links them to the website, but no page answers them well enough to rank. They are usually new topics, products or questions your current pages only touch on.
When it’s suggested
SaaSMaestro compares the last 28 days of Search Console data with the 28 days before. It looks at searches outside the website’s top 100 that had at least 100 impressions, at least doubled their impressions and have an average position worse than 20.
The tip counts these searches and names the one with the most impressions, with its position. It is an Info tip.
What to do
- Search for the named query and look at what ranks on page one: the kind of page, its depth and what it covers.
- Check whether one of your pages already touches on it. If so, expand that page with a section that answers the search directly and use the wording in its title and headings.
- If nothing fits, write a new page for it and link to it from related pages, including your busiest ones.
Searches already close to page one are covered by Tip: push searches onto page one.
When it goes away
SaaSMaestro rechecks its tips every day against the latest data. Once the rule no longer applies for 7 days, the tip drops off the board.
If you tick it off or dismiss it, it stays off the board unless the situation clears for at least 7 days and then returns, when it comes back as “Back again”.
