A channel that brings a good share of visitors to most of your other websites barely appears on this one. What works there may well work here.
What it suggests
Your other websites have shown that the channel, such as email, social or referrals, can bring in visitors. This website is missing out, often simply because nobody has set it up yet.
When it’s suggested
SaaSMaestro compares GA4 visitors by channel over your default comparison period (28 days by default), between websites with at least 300 visitors. A channel is suggested when it brings 15% or more of visitors on at least 2 other websites, and on at least half of those compared, but under 3% here.
At least 3 other websites must have enough data. Direct, Unassigned, paid channels, Display and Cross-network aren’t compared. Each channel gets its own Info tip.
What to do
- Open the channel report of one of your websites where the channel works and see which sources and campaigns bring the visitors.
- Repeat what fits this website: the same newsletter, social profiles, partner listings or referral links.
- Tag the links with UTM parameters so GA4 credits the visits to the right channel.
When it goes away
SaaSMaestro rechecks its tips every day against the latest data. Once the rule no longer applies for 7 days, the tip drops off the board.
If you tick it off or dismiss it, it stays off the board unless the situation clears for at least 7 days and then returns, when it comes back as “Back again”.
