Start with the data freshness table on Settings → your workspace → Data connections. Each website shows one of these states:
Freshness states
| State | Meaning and fix |
|---|---|
| Updated | Working normally. |
| Never synced | Added but not loaded yet. Click “Sync now” on the website, or wait for the next scheduled sync. |
| Stale | No successful sync within the stale window. Usually the Google account below has a problem; otherwise try “Sync now” and check the result. |
| Credentials failing | Google rejected the account’s access. Click “Reconnect” on that account. |
| Account disconnected | The Google account the website used was removed. Edit the website and choose a source from another account, or connect the account again. |
| Not linked | No data source is chosen. Edit the website and pick one. |
“Access revoked” on a Google account
Google stops accepting a connection when its password is changed, access is removed in the Google account’s security settings, the account is suspended or, for consent screens in Testing mode, after seven days. Click “Reconnect” and sign in again; your websites resume where they left off.
A property is missing from the list
- Check that the connected Google account itself can see the property in GA4 or Search Console.
- On the Data connections tab, click “Refresh list” on that account.
- If it’s under a different Google account, connect that account too.
Numbers don’t match Google
- “Visitors” are GA4 sessions, not users. Users are stored too but sessions are what’s shown.
- SaaSMaestro’s periods end yesterday, and may be trimmed while Search Console catches up. Compare exactly the same dates.
- Search Console revises its last few days; SaaSMaestro re-reads the last 10 days on every sync, so small differences settle within a day.
- Average position is weighted by impressions across the period, like Search Console’s own total.
Conversions show zero
Conversions are GA4 key events. Mark the events that matter as key events in GA4 (Admin → Events). Only new data counts them, so history from before the change stays at zero. If you don’t track conversions at all, hide them under Workspace basics → What to show.
A “tracking looks broken” alert
This means GA4 visitors collapsed while Google clicks carried on. Check that the GA4 tag is still on the website, that a cookie banner change hasn’t blocked it and that the measurement ID is right. Website health monitoring also checks the home page for the tag. See Workspace insights.
“Website is down” but it loads fine
A firewall or bot protection is probably blocking our health checks. Allowlist our IP address as described in Allowlisting our IP address.
