SaaSMaestro can’t get fresh figures from Google for this website, so everything you see for it is out of date until the connection works again.
What it means
There are two versions. “Connection is broken” means Google rejected the stored access for GA4, Search Console or both. “Data is stale” means the access may be fine, but the website hasn’t synced successfully for a while. Until it’s fixed, the traffic, search and conversion checks for the website are paused.
What triggers it
A broken connection is Critical: the Google account that supplies the source is marked as failing or revoked. Stale data is High: GA4 or Search Console hasn’t synced within your “Flag data as stale after (hours)” setting (48 hours by default). Websites normally sync every six hours.
Common causes
- The Google account’s password was changed, its access was removed in its security settings, or the account was suspended.
- The connected account lost its access to the GA4 property or Search Console property.
- Google returned an error or a quota limit during recent syncs. The issue shows the last error when there is one.
How to fix it
- Go to Settings → your workspace → Data connections and check the Google account and the website’s freshness state, explained in Fixing connection and data problems.
- If the account shows a problem, click “Reconnect” and sign in to Google again.
- Click “↻ Sync now” on the website and check the result. If it still fails, confirm in GA4 or Search Console that the connected account can still open the property.
When it clears
As soon as the account works again and the website syncs successfully. The paused checks then run on the fresh data. Each sync re-reads the last 10 days, so a short outage leaves no gap in the figures.
