This is good news, not a problem. Steady growth is rarely an accident, and finding its cause tells you where extra effort will pay off most.
What it suggests
Find the pages, searches or channels behind the growth, then give them more support: related content, internal links from strong pages, or more of whatever campaign is working.
When it’s suggested
It uses the website’s key metric (visitors, search clicks or conversions), week by week. Each of the last four full weeks must beat the average of the four weeks before by at least your “Growing” threshold (5% by default, under Workspace basics), with at most one week-on-week dip. The streak shown, such as “Grown 6 weeks running”, is counted up to 12 weeks. See Workspace insights.
It’s an idea at Info level. Insights shows the first few; the action plan lists them all.
What to do
- On the website’s page, compare its top landing pages, searches and channels with the previous period to see which ones grew most.
- Check the timeline for anything your team changed when the growth started, such as new content, a redesign or a campaign.
- Strengthen what’s working: add supporting pages on the same topics and link to the growing pages from your busiest ones.
- Add a timeline note saying what you found, so the team can repeat it on other websites.
When it goes away
It goes away when the growth streak ends.
It drops off the action plan once it hasn’t been detected for 7 days. If you mark it done or dismiss it, it only comes back, as “Back again”, if it clears for at least 7 days and then returns.
